ThemeParks Integration

Lanyard works with ThemeParks.wiki to give you a searchable catalog of Disney destinations, parks, attractions, shows, and restaurants. You can browse destinations and link them to your wishlist items and trip cards. This unlocks live wait times and status data.

Browsing Destinations

Navigate to Browse Destinations from your wishlist or trip to start exploring:

  1. Open a party's wishlist
  2. Click Browse Destinations
  3. You'll see a list of available resort destinations (e.g., Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris)

Click a destination to view its parks, then click a park to browse its attractions, shows, and restaurants.

Searching for Attractions

You can search in two ways:

Within a Park

When viewing attractions inside a park, use the search bar to filter by name. You can also use the type filter buttons to show only:

  • All — Everything in the park
  • Attractions — Rides and experiences
  • Shows — Entertainment and performances
  • Restaurants — Dining locations

Search and type filters work together, so you can find "Space Mountain" among attractions only.

When creating or editing a wishlist item or trip card, use the search field in the form. Start typing (minimum 2 characters) and matching destinations will appear. Select one to link it to your item.

Adding Attractions to Your Wishlist

While browsing a park's attractions, you can add any of them directly to your party's wishlist:

  1. Make sure you're viewing attractions in Add to Party mode (accessible from your party's wishlist)
  2. Click Add to Wishlist on any attraction
  3. The attraction is automatically added to your wishlist with the correct type:
  4. Attractions → Ride
  5. Shows → Event
  6. Restaurants → Meal
  7. Parks → Park
  8. Items already in your wishlist show an Already in wishlist badge

Adding Attractions to a Trip

Similarly, you can add attractions directly to a specific trip:

  1. Browse attractions with Add to Trip mode (accessible from your trip's board or detail page)
  2. Click Add to Trip on any attraction
  3. A card is created on the trip with the correct type
  4. Items already on the trip show an Already on trip badge

Live Data

Destinations linked to your wishlist items and trip cards can show live data directly in Lanyard:

Wait Times

Attractions with live data display their current standby wait time as a badge:

  • Green badge — Short wait (under 60 minutes)
  • Amber badge — Longer wait (60+ minutes)
  • Red badge — Ride is currently down
  • Grey badge — Ride is closed or under refurbishment

Badges fade as data ages (5+ minutes) and disappear after 15 minutes until refreshed.

Refreshing Live Data

  • Wait times refresh automatically in the background every 5 minutes
  • You can manually refresh all live data for a trip using the Refresh button on the board view
  • The destination browser shows the most recent data

Destination Types

Each destination belongs to one of these categories:

Type Icon Maps to Card Type
Destination — (not a card type)
Park Park
Attraction Ride
Show Event
Restaurant Meal

Tips

  • Duplicate detection: Lanyard prevents adding the same attraction twice to the same wishlist or trip.
  • Linking later: You can link a destination to an existing wishlist item or card by editing it and using the search field.
  • Data freshness: Destination names and details update every 24 hours. Live wait times update every 5 minutes.
