Sharing Your Lanyard

Lanyard makes it easy to share your itinerary with family and friends who aren't part of your party. You can share via a public web link or a calendar subscription.

A Public Share Link creates a read-only view of your scheduled itinerary that anyone can view — no login required.

  1. Open the trip you want to share
  2. Click Share in the toolbar
  3. A unique URL is generated — click to copy it
  4. Share this link with anyone you want to see your itinerary

What Others Can See:

  • All scheduled cards (those assigned to a day)
  • Card titles, types, times, and notes
  • Day-by-day breakdown of your itinerary
  • Trip name and date range

What Others Cannot See:

  • Your Wishlist (unscheduled items)
  • Cards marked as "Done"
  • Party member list
  • Edit controls (the view is completely read-only)

Changed your mind? You can revoke the link at any time:

  1. Open your trip
  2. In the share bar (below the date line), click Revoke
  3. Confirm the action
  4. Anyone with the old link will see a page not found message

Calendar Subscription (iCal Feed)

Perfect for people who want to see your itinerary in their own calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.).

Setting Up the Feed

  1. First, create a Public Share Link (see above)
  2. Click the Subscribe button in the share bar
  3. The .ics file will download or your calendar app will prompt to subscribe
  4. Your calendar will refresh automatically (typically every hour)

Using the Feed

  • One-way sync: The feed shows your Lanyard cards in your personal calendar
  • Timed cards: Appear as timed events (using your card's time)
  • Untimed cards: Appear as all-day events
  • Auto-updates: As you change your Lanyard, the calendar updates (within the refresh interval)

Feed Details

  • Uses the same token as your public share link
  • Cards appear with their type as the category
  • Event descriptions include your notes
  • The calendar name matches your trip name

Sharing Tips

  • Family coordination: Share with family members who don't have Lanyard accounts
  • Travel agents: Share your itinerary with your Disney travel agent
  • Content creators: Share your planned itinerary with followers
  • Multiple trips: Each trip gets its own share link — manage them independently

Privacy Considerations

  • Only share with people you trust — anyone with the link can view your itinerary
  • Revoke links when they're no longer needed
  • Share links only show scheduled items — your Wishlist stays private
  • Consider creating a new share link if the old one might be circulating
