Lanyard is designed to work great on your phone, whether you're at home planning or in the parks making adjustments.

Mobile Day View

The List view (trip detail page) automatically optimizes for mobile devices.

Features:

  • Vertical day list: Each day shows its cards in a scrollable list
  • Expandable cards: Tap any card to see full details
  • Light edits: Stamp cards as done, reschedule, or edit
  • Touch-friendly: Larger buttons and always-visible add links
  • No drag-and-drop: Mobile uses tap-to-edit instead of drag-and-drop

Using Lanyard on Your Phone

At Home (Planning)

  1. Open Lanyard in your mobile browser
  2. Log in with Google (same as desktop)
  3. Use the List view to review your itinerary
  4. Tap any card to expand it and make changes
  5. Use + add links to quickly add items to any day

In the Parks (During Your Trip)

  1. Open your trip in the mobile browser
  2. Tap cards to expand and see notes/times
  3. Stamp it (mark as done) when you complete an activity
  4. Need to change plans? Use the day selector to reschedule
  5. No app install needed — works right in Safari/Chrome

Stamp It (Mark as Done)

During your trip, quickly mark activities as completed:

  1. Tap the card to expand it
  2. Click Stamp it (checkmark icon)
  3. The card gets a line-through and muted appearance
  4. Change your mind? Click Unmark to undo

Rescheduling on Mobile

Changed your mind about which day to do something?

  1. Expand the card
  2. Use the day dropdown to pick a new day
  3. Submit the form
  4. The card moves to the new day

Mobile-Specific Features

On touch devices, the "+ add" links on each day are always visible (no need to hover).

Expanded Notes

Card notes are hidden in the list view but fully visible when you expand a card — perfect for reading details on the go.

No Hover Actions

Since there's no hover on touch devices, all actions (edit, stamp, reschedule) are accessible via the expandable card panel.

Tips for Mobile Use

  • Bookmark it: Add Lanyard to your phone's home screen for quick access
  • Share the link: Send your public share link to family so they can follow along
  • Stamp as you go: Keep your itinerary up-to-date by marking things done
  • Data usage: Lanyard is lightweight — works great even with limited connectivity
  • Battery friendly: No background processes or location tracking

PWA Support

Lanyard includes support for adding to your home screen, so on supported devices you can: - iOS: In Safari, tap the Share button → "Add to Home Screen" - Android: In Chrome, tap the menu → "Install app"

This creates an app-like icon on your home screen that opens Lanyard in a standalone window.
